Austrolimnophila atripes is a species of crane fly. Observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset show that individuals possess long, slender legs characteristic of the family Limoniidae.[1] The wings are typically clear or lightly patterned with subtle venation visible. The body is elongated, and the overall morphology is consistent with other members of the genus Austrolimnophila.[1]
Austrolimnophila atripes was described by the entomologist Charles Paul Alexander in 1922.[2] It is an accepted species within the genus Austrolimnophila.
