Visual Description
Austrocnephia aurantiaca is a species of black fly within the family Simuliidae. Due to the limitations of the available museum specimen imagery, specific morphological details such as fine wing venation or precise antennal structure cannot be resolved.[1]
History and Classification
Austrocnephia aurantiaca was originally described by A.L. Tonnoir in 1925 as Simulium aurantiacum.[2] It is currently recognized as an accepted species within the genus Austrocnephia.
