This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
Atypophthalmus emaceratus is a species of crane fly in the family Limoniidae. It was originally described by Charles Paul Alexander in 1921 under the basionym Limnobia emaceratus.[2]
The visual characteristics of Atypophthalmus emaceratus are consistent with the general morphology of the genus Atypophthalmus. While specific diagnostic traits are difficult to resolve from the available dataset imagery, the specimens exhibit the typical slender, elongated body form characteristic of Limoniidae crane flies.[1]
