Overview
Atylotus miser (Szilády, 1915) is a species of horsefly belonging to the family Tabanidae.[2] It was originally described under the name Ochrops miser by Zoltán Szilády.[2]
The genus Atylotus is represented within the horsefly fauna of Croatia, where research has utilized DNA barcoding of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene to support morphological identification and contribute to the Barcode of Life Database (BOLD).[3]
