This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
Atrichopogon phusunensis is a species of biting midge within the family Ceratopogonidae. Morphological observations from preserved specimens in the TreeOfLife-200M dataset are limited due to the nature of the available imagery, which does not allow for the resolution of fine diagnostic characters such as wing venation or specific antennal structures.[1]
Atrichopogon phusunensis was described by the entomologist Hans Remm in 1971.[2] It is currently recognized as an accepted species name in global taxonomic databases.
