This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
Athrycia trepida (Meigen, 1824) is a species of fly in the family Tachinidae.[2] It has been recorded in the pine forests of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve in Byelorussia, where it is considered part of the Euro-Siberian zoogeographical element.[3] It was also identified as one of the 18 tachinid species common to both the pine forests of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve and the Kampinoski National Park in the Mazovian Lowlands of Poland.[3]
Based on observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, Athrycia trepida exhibits the characteristic morphology of a tachinid fly.[1] The specimens typically display a robust, bristly body, which is a common trait among members of the family Tachinidae. The coloration of the thorax and abdomen often includes patterns of grey or black, consistent with its classification within the subfamily Dexiinae.[4]
