This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
Athrycia impressa is a fly characterized by a robust, bristly appearance typical of the family Tachinidae. Observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset reveal a prominent head with large, reddish-brown compound eyes. The body is covered in numerous long, dark, and stout setae (bristles), particularly on the thorax and abdomen. The antennae are visible, and the overall coloration includes dark tones on the thorax and abdomen, with contrasting lighter, possibly silvery-white, pollinosity on the face and parts of the thorax.[1]
Athrycia impressa (van der Wulp, 1869) has been documented in Iran, specifically within the Fars province.[2]
