This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
Athrycia curvinervis is a fly characterized by the typical morphology of the family Tachinidae. Observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset show a specimen with a robust, bristly body, which is a common trait among tachinids.[1] The abdomen is notably covered in prominent, dark, backward-pointing macrochaetae (bristles). The legs are also well-developed and bristly, facilitating its movement and interaction with its environment. The wings are clear and possess characteristic venation patterns typical of the genus.[1]
Athrycia curvinervis (Zetterstedt, 1844) has been recorded as a rare species in Somogy county, Hungary. Historically, it was known in Hungary primarily from mountainous regions.[2]
