This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
Based on observations of museum specimens from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, Asyndetus johnsoni exhibits the characteristic morphology of the family Dolichopodidae.[1] The specimens display a slender, elongated body typical of long-legged flies. Key visible traits include a pair of prominent, compound eyes that occupy a significant portion of the head, and slender, elongated legs. The wings are clear and held in a position characteristic of the family, extending beyond the abdomen. The body coloration appears generally dark, consistent with many species in the genus Asyndetus.[1]
