The species Asyncritula pubescens is a member of the family Stratiomyidae. While specific morphological details are not available from the current dataset imagery, the genus Asyncritula is recognized within the subfamily Pachygastrinae.[2]
Asyncritula pubescens was described by Maurice T. James in 1978. The original description was published in the journal Pacific Insects as part of a study on new and poorly known genera of Pachygastrinae from New Guinea and the Bismarck Archipelago.[2]
