This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
Based on observations of museum specimens from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, Asteia sabroskyi is a small fly characteristic of the family Asteiidae.[1] The specimens exhibit a slender body form typical of the genus. The head is relatively large in proportion to the thorax, with prominent eyes. The wings are clear and appear long relative to the body length, often extending beyond the tip of the abdomen. The coloration is generally pale or yellowish, consistent with many members of the family.[1]
Asteia sabroskyi has been documented interacting with various plant materials, specifically Pisonia stems and Charpentiera stems or rotten branches.[2]
