This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
Based on examination of preserved specimens from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, Asteia palikuensis exhibits the characteristic small, delicate body form typical of the family Asteiidae.[1] The specimens display a generally slender, lightly sclerotized appearance. The wings are relatively large in proportion to the body, a common trait in this group, and show characteristic venation patterns. Due to the nature of the preserved museum specimens, finer morphological details such as specific setal patterns or subtle coloration are difficult to resolve in these images.
