This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
Asphondylia pseudorosa is a gall midge within the family Cecidomyiidae. Based on observations from the TreeOfLife-200M dataset, individuals exhibit the characteristic delicate, slender body form typical of many cecidomyiids.[1] They possess long, thin legs and antennae, and their wings are generally clear or lightly patterned, held in a manner consistent with other members of the genus Asphondylia.[1]
Asphondylia pseudorosa is known to interact with various plant species within the genus Euthamia, including Euthamia weakleyi, Euthamia gymnospermoides, and Euthamia graminifolia.[2] As members of the Cecidomyiidae, species in the genus Asphondylia are frequently associated with the formation of galls on their host plants.
