Anomotaenia microrhyncha is a species of tapeworm belonging to the phylum Platyhelminthes, class Cestoda, and order Cyclophyllidea. It is classified within the family Dilepididae. Preserved specimens of this species are maintained in the research collections of the Natural History Museum of Denmark.[1]
The species exhibits a typical cestode body plan, characterized by an elongated, segmented strobila. The anterior region features a distinct scolex equipped with four prominent, circular suckers (acetabula) used for attachment. The strobila consists of numerous, closely packed, and uniform proglottids. Stained specimens reveal the internal muscular structure of the scolex and the segmented organization of the body.
