Androprosopa melanderi (Arnaud & Boussy, 1994) is a species of midge within the family Thaumaleidae, commonly referred to as seepage or trickle midges.[2] The species was originally described as Thaumalea melanderi.
The genus Androprosopa is one of seven recognized genera in the family Thaumaleidae and is distributed across the Nearctic, Palaearctic, and Oriental regions.[3] Members of the family Thaumaleidae are typically found in madicolous habitats, such as rock-face seepages and the margins of cascading streams.
