Anastrepha pseudoparallela (Loew, 1873) is recognized as one of the six economically important species of Anastrepha in Brazil[2]. It has been associated with a variety of host plants, including Mangifera indica L. (Anacardiaceae), Psidium guajava L. (Myrtaceae), and several species of Passiflora (Passifloraceae), such as P. alata, P. edulis, and P. quadrangularis. Additionally, it has been recorded in the fruits of Passiflora elegans Mast.
