This page represents the following TreeOfLife-200M taxonomic path.[1]
Anapausis cismarina is a species of minute black scavenger fly within the family Scatopsidae. It was originally described by W.L. McAtee in 1921, based on specimens collected in the District of Columbia.[2]
Due to the unavailability of high-resolution imagery for this species, specific morphological traits cannot be definitively described at this time. Scatopsidae generally are characterized as small, often dark-colored flies with reduced wing venation, a feature typical of the family.[1]
